The City of Wayne will conduct a test of their tornado sirens on Wednesday, March 21st at 10:10 a.m. in conjunction with the National Weather Service's Severe Weather Awareness Week. The NWS will issue a mock tornado warning at 10:10 a.m. on March 21st. The City of Wayne will run their sirens for a continuous three-minute blast starting at 10:10 a.m. The communities of Winside and Carroll will also test their sirens at the same time and those two communities will also conduct a second test at 6:30 p.m.
In the event of actual severe weather at the scheduled time of the tests, the tests will be postponed until the following day at the same time.
