[ARCHIVED] Request for Bids for E-Recycling Event Services

The City of Wayne is seeking bids for recycling services associated with a community-wide e-recycling event, which is being funded by a Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality Waste Reduction and Recycling Grant and local funds.

Bids will be received by the City Administrator, 306 Pearl Street, Wayne, NE 68787 until 5:00 p.m. (local time) on Monday, August 25, 2014 for the event. Bids received after the specified time will be returned unopened to sender. Proposals must be based on the City's Request for Bids. Contact the City Administrator, Lowell Johnson, at (402) 375-1733 for further information.

The event will be held in Wayne, Nebraska on October 11, 2014 from 9 a.m. to noon. The award winning consultant will be required to collect and haul all electronic material collected. All bids should consider of the following:

1. Certification that all electronic components have been properly brought to end of life in an environmentally safe manner in accordance with all local, state and EPA regulations;

2. Certification that any hard drives are securely destroyed to prevent exposure of confidential information;

3. Contractual services must include all labor to stack, wrap and load electronics materials brought to a drop-off site located in Wayne.

The City of Wayne requests that all bids include an overall final cost.

Bids will be evaluated based upon fee for services rendered and the agreement terms and conditions. Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days after proposal due date. The City of Wayne reserves the right to refuse any or all proposals, to waive technicalities, and to accept whichever proposal that may be in the best interest of the City, at its sole discretion.
