This is an update on several street projects under construction in Wayne. Thank you for your patience as we complete this work.
1) 3rd & Sherman Street intersection. The street has been poured and city crews are working on the sidewalks. The intersection will be opened to traffic next Wednesday, August 12th at 3:30 P.M. If rainy weather delays the sidewalk work there may be temporary lane closures during the day after that date but we will avoid working during school drop-off and pick-up times.
2) East 4th Street on the east side of Windom Street. This street will be closed to traffic starting tomorrow morning, August 7th, at 8:00 A.M. to allow crews to install a new water main. The street will reopen to traffic next Thursday, August 13th with a temporary surface of rock in the area.
3) East 6th Street on the east side of Walnut Street. This street was removed to put in a new water main and the concrete has been poured. The street will open to traffic next Thursday, August 13th.
