Duties The Civil Service Commission follows all provisions relating to the Nebraska Civil Service Act and establishes rules and regulations as prescribed by law. The Commission is responsible for the hiring, dismissal, disciplinary and other issues related to Civil Servants, which are the sworn personnel for the Police and Fire Departments.
